Pet Portraits
Dogs, cats and other pets preserved through Pyrography
One way to preserve a lasting, unique memorial to a favorite pet is to have Don create a one-of-a-kind portrait of your pet in wood. The uniqueness comes from several aspects. When it is done, it will be the only one of its kind of your special friend. The monochromatic approach will give it a timeless, sepia or brown tone affect, as if from a bygone era.
If you can capture on film your pet's special pose and expression, then Don can give it to you in a form you will cherish for years and years to come. The soft, almost grainless quality of basswood is an ideal background for exhibiting your pet's unique qualities.

Obtain a one-of-a-kind portrait of your favorite pet
Because each of these is a one-of-a-kind project, you will need to provide Don with as much information as you can. Send him several pictures, including your favorite pose and the one that exhibits your pet's personality. If you have others that would help with facial details or other pertinent information, send those as well, and your phone number.

Once Don has had time to examine your photographs, he will call to discuss the project with you. At that time, he will quote you an exact price and give you an indication of the time frame necessary to complete your project. If you agree upon these details, then Don requires a 50% deposit before commencing such a special order project. Normally, these can be in your hands within four to six weeks of the beginning of the project.
A pet portrait with a single image on a board would run $75.00
With two images on a board, the project would be $110.
Three images on a board would be $150.
Anymore than three can be negotiated. In addition to these figures, there would be any applicable tax, plus shipping.
We take Master Card, Visa or Discover, or a personal check. If payment from new clients is in one of these forms, work will begin once the check or credit card fee has been cleared by your bank.
