Because every woodburning is an individually created, unique item, each one is special.  No two woodburnings are exactly alike.  That is parts of the charm of having a project prepared just for you.  When you have a particular subject that is dear to you, either because of nostalgia (a family homestead, for example), or because of a special bond (such as between a pet and its owner); or your desire to have something created for you, unlike anything anyone else would ever have,then a specially designed and created woodburning, a one-of-a-kind project can be something that endears itself to you for a lifetime.

In some cases, a specially created woodburning itself has become a family treasure, an heirloom it its own right.  This is particularly true when commissioned of a place that no longer exists or may only exist in pictures and memories.

In recent years, the range of these special projects has grown to include such things as woodburnings of the ruins of castles and abbeys, St. Basil's Cathedral on Red Square in Moscow, commemorative plates and plaques, and an unusually large woodburning of a pack of wolves in northern Minnesota!

When you send the pictures, also include a phone number where you can be reached.  Don likes to discuss a special order project with the client before quoting an actual price.  It is important to insure there is a clear understanding regarding the project, size, time frame and any special details or other pieces of information necessary to insure that the project is what you envision.

A 50% deposit is required on all special orders prior to commencing the project. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for completion of the project, unless other arrangements have been made.
